The End Won’t Give You Closure

We won a lot

We lost more

We laughed

We cried more than we care to admit

Made friends that will last a lifetime

Lost friends that haunt our dreams

They were the best of times*

They were the worst of times*

We were warriors

We were scared lost boys

For the towers we chanted

It’s a lost cause with no hope

Sense of sorrow and frustration

A sense of closure

Was it worth it?

You protected me, I protected you

Love and remember those we lost, embrace those still here.

*Charles Dickens “A Tale of Two Cities”
