Greetings One and All

I have traded a few messages with Sarah & Mike and I am really stoked by what I see going on with Always In Pursuit. They asked me if I would do some guest blogging and I agreed. So right off the start, going to be talking lots about "Getting yourself Unf*cked". As you come to learn more about me and my life's experience you are going to realize I have dealt with some big time, major stuff. And it nearly took me out, a couple times. But I won, and Iā€™m not finished yet!

So, my first swing of the bat? Going to share a fitness related Christmas gift that is an out of the box idea. When I got my head out of my fifth point of contact and started working on my wellness and fitness again, I was a total train wreck. My RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) was so bad I could barely shuffle a hundred yards without a searing, burning pain. It sucked, but I started walking, then some more. Incremental increases. I tripped across these virtual running challenges and decided I could hike them. So I did. I also added stair climbing, suitcase carries and Tidal Tank Rucking. But I kept going forward. My missus, affectionately known as either "The Chief" or "Momma Bear" decided to join me and we have done several of these together.

The distraction of the challenges helped me deal with the pain. I loved the dopamine hits from completing challenges, as many people know it became addictive. My rolling 12 month and 2021 tallies are both in excess of 2,000 kms. Not being able to get 100 yards in pain to 10 km days routinely, definitely a win. So here comes today's idea. For Christmas we have decided to gift each other the 7 Wonders of the World Challenge, which is 1,460 kilometers. It will improve fitness, health and wellness while exploring the Virtual world? WINNING. Together. Talk about Christmas Presence, Being there, Being Supportive. Hard to see the down side. You can do these at your own pace. Pick a challenge that interests you. My suggestion. Depending on your fitness level? Lace them up and have at it. In coming installments, as the journey unfolds you are going to look back and wonder "how the hell I did it". The answer is simple. I went "Further Than Yesterday, That's All That Counts".

More to follow.
